Announcing Mycelium #0, The first City in ShroomTopia’s Metaverse

Shortly after the founding of ShroomTopia, its citizens set out to build a home for their colony. The Shrooms went on a quest to find the ideal geographical location that would be most suitable for all its citizens. On their journey as they were going through a novel psychedelic experience, they came across a coastal temperate rainforest where the climate is mild, the humidity is high, and the region is dominated by towering ancient coniferous trees. As they explored the region, they sensed the comfort and magic of the woods, as well as the peacefulness of the water features around them. Telepathically, they all knew and thought to themselves “this is home”.

In awe of the forest, the Shrooms came together with the help of Fungeseus to establish a plan to build around these ancient trees in order to preserve a large majority of them. Not long after development, Mycelium #0 became a utopian paradise where nature can sustainably co-exist with technologically advanced infrastructure.

City Structure

Trippy peaks

Coastal mountain range featured in the North where the highest mountains have year round snowy peaks that continue to accumulate glacial ice which feed the rivers that cut across the entire region throughout warm seasons. During winter seasons, this is where Shroom citizens like to enjoy their snow sports, and bathe in geothermic hot springs.

Woodlands

This is the ecological reserve that preserves the biodiversity of all living organisms that thrive here. These woods are essential for moderating the climate, purifying the air, filtering the water, mitigating against erosion, preventing floods from occurring, and more!

This site is also used extensively in mycology research to uncover new discoveries on how to translate the interaction of fungi with its natural habitat into something that can be used in urban settings. During peak seasons of mushroom growth, some areas would be open to the community for foraging. These mushrooms can then be traded in the market as rare items.

The Root

Located on the top of a mountain south of the Trippy Peaks mountain range, a meditation center was established to provide an exquisite spiritual experience for all citizens.

Stone Harbour

This harbor is the seaport of Mycelium #0 that is essential for transferring all the goods that are shipped to the city, and exports of goods from the city.

Central District

The downtown of the city, where ShroomTopia’s Headquarters are based. The city features towering skyscrapers and technologically advanced facilities used for all the research and development. Due to it’s close proximity to the beaches, all the businesses and entertainment, this is where the majority of citizens now reside.

To generate sustainable energy, every building has solar panels to capture solar radiation, wind turbines to capture large scale wind patterns that come from the West, and hydropower systems that uses the momentum of rainwater captured from rooftops. The rainwater is then directed into a multi-layer sand filtration system that then stores the clean water into a large underground reservoir.

The marketplace where ShroomTopian assets can be bought and traded.

Mane Beach

A long beach stretching for miles located west of the city where citizens like to go tanning during summer, surfing during all seasons, hunting for hidden gems, and all other beach related activities. This is the best place to watch the sun setting over the horizon.

Self-explanatory :)

Flow River

Slow and steady waters that flow from the mountain tops carrying freshwater to the city and fertilizing the land around it. Many citizens like to enjoy their watersports here such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, etc.

Fungi Town

Hidden in the woods is a special town where unique mushroom-shaped houses are built amongst the ancient trees. The town was designed for citizens to live in symbiosis with the natural habitat and produces zero emissions. These homes are extremely rare and limited.

Arena

The center of all entertainment events! This is where Shrooms enjoy all the live events and performances.

Zoomie Circuit

Zooom Zooom!! This is where citizens go Shroom Racing with rare karts!!

Theater

Movies and shows are played here in the comfort of large recliner seats, as well as popcorn, snacks and drink service.

Humble Lake

A large tranquil lake south of the city that is home to a variety of freshwater aquatic organisms. During summer, citizens like to swim and enjoy other water sports here. The lake’s basin was a deep imprint left behind by an ice-sheet that once sat on top of the entire region a millennia ago. Over time, the ice melted and filled the basin, with it came all the microscopic organisms.

Exhibit

This is where Shrooms get to show off their finest assets to the public, and make trades with one another. Auctions for new rare items will also be held here as well!

Farm District

All types of farming activities will happen here. Where existing assets will be utilized to cultivate and bring new assets to life.

Space Station

The place to launch Shrooms into space for space exploration. More on this in the future!

City Economy

After witnessing advanced civilizations plummet into the depths of non-existence from endless conflict due to failing centralized structures, Fungeseus vowed that it was necessary for his Utopian planet to adopt a decentralized system that would allow every citizen to participate in determining its fate peacefully. He gathered the chosen Shrooms to express his concerns, and together they forged the SPOR Token.

SPOR became the official currency of ShroomTopia’s metaverse and Mycelium #0 is no exception to that! Every asset in the city is tokenized and ShroomTopians can utilize the city’s facilities and infrastructure using SPOR. Shroom economists have programmed SPOR to be earned and spent by citizens in a deflationary and sustainable manner.

Technical Overview

Mycelium #0 is the first land plot in ShroomTopia’s metaverse. Every section of the map mentioned above is planned to be a piece of an interactive metaverse that Shroom owners can visit and interact with. An interactive map of the city will be added to our website where community members can view and teleport to the section they want to visit.

Timeline

Mycelium #0 is being developed one piece at a time. ShroomTopia’s team is currently working on the first piece and the plan is to launch in Q4 this year!
